AUGUST , 2011

Fred Lee  made a presentation to senior nursing students at Georgia Southwestern State University on the subject of medical/legal issues in nursing practice.

NOVEMBER, 2010

Joe Durham was successful in obtaining an aggregate settlement in excess of One Million ($1,000,000.00) Dollars for personal injuries related to a premises liability claim.

Lauren Brock and Joe Durham were successful in obtaining a confidential settlement of a claim against a large nursing home chain related to the wrongful death of an elderly patient who developed numerous decubitus ulcers and contractures.

Lauren Brock has been selected as the Regional Chair (Albany) for the Georgia Mock Trial Competition where area high school Mock Trial teams compete and advance to the state competition.


OCTOBER, 2010

Joe Durham and Fred Lee were succesful in obtaining a catastrophic injury designation for their workers' compensation client - - a physical therapy assistant who sustained severe injuries to her cervical and lumbar spine while assisting hospital patients with therapy.

SEPTEMBER, 2010

Joe Durham and Rick Langley obtained a defense verdict on behalf of their client, Memorial Hospital and Manor in Bainbridge, GA in connection with a claim for wrongful death. The jury returned the favorable verdict after a trial that lasted for over two (2) weeks.

Fred Lee made a presentation on Ethical/Legal/Advocacy issues in nursing to Nursing Leadership class of senior nursing students at Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus.


JULY, 2010

Joe Durham and Lauren Brock obtained a $100,000.00 settlement for medical malpractice for improper care rendered to a nursing home patient.

Joe Durham, Fred Lee and Lauren Brock obtained a $500,000.00 settlement for medical malpractice related to improper medical treatment rendered to a pediatric asthmatic patient.

Joe Durham and Lauren Brock obtained a $50,000.00 settlement on behalf of an individual injured in a motor vehicle collision.

JUNE, 2010

Fred Lee made a presentation on advanced worker's compensation issues at a training program sponsored by Local Government Risk Management Services, and held at the Lake Blackshear Resort and Golf Club in Cordele, Georgia.

Lauren Brock has been appointed to the Board of Directors for Theatre Albany and is currently serving as Chairman of the Sponsorship and Program Advertising Committee.

Joe Durham made a presentation on documentation and risk management for nurses at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

MAY, 2010

Lauren Brock graduated from the 2010 Class of Leadership Albany. During this program Lauren met community leaders and participated in leadership development classes.

APRIL, 2010

Fred Lee made a presentation to senior nursing students at Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus on the subject of medical/legal issues in nursing practice.

Fred Lee was voted "Best of the Best" attorney in The Albany Herald's 2010 Reader's Choice awards.

Lauren Brock was selected as one of Southwest Georgia's Forty under Forty for 2010. The award, sponsored by The Albany Herald, is given to individuals under the age of forty who have demonstrated leadership and community involvement in Southwest Georgia.

JANUARY 2010

Rick Langley was selected for inclusion in the 2010 Super Lawyer for the State of Georgia. Super Lawyer is a listing of outstanding attorneys that have attained the highest degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

Joe Durham and Bill Calhoun, attorneys, were successful in obtaining a substantial, confidential settlement on behalf of their client who was injured in a collision with a semi truck owned by a grocery store chain.
